“Cascade Consulting Group, a business unit of Cascade Engineering, enables organizations and communities to define and achieve results and profitability through triple bottom line strategies.”
Established around Cascade Engineering’s “Employer of Choice” practices, Cascade Consulting Group was formed to help organizations use sustainable solutions to produce business and community results. We provide training, mentoring and consulting services from theory to practice.
A preview of some of our initiatives while we are in the process of launching our new site:
ARMED FORCES TO WORK FORCES Cascade Consulting has joined with Compass Point Staffing to provide support in helping military personnel transition to civilian employment while aiding employers to find skilled, dependable employees. Access to military bases and resume data bases, along with the ability to help transfer skills learned in the military to civilian jobs is what makes our collaboration unique. We work closely with the military, soldiers, and employers to make sure each soldier is matched with a job to fit their skill set and guarantee long-term success. |
WELFARE TO CAREER Cascade Engineering is the first known employer in the United States to have a government social services case worker on site. We have learned how to use community collaboration to successfully employ people from poverty and provide them with a path to a successful career. Retention rates are above 95% and the transition to a culture that cares has helped Cascade Engineering become an Employer of Choice. Cascade Consulting assists other organizations in designing workforce development solutions to meet the needs of business and the community. |
UPCOMING EVENTS January 19, 2012: CEO Roundtable: “Exploring Community Models on Hiring and Supporting Returning Citizens and Employers.” Join Mark Peter’s, CEO of Butterball Farms, and other West Michigan CEO’s as they learn about models developed locally to support the employment of citizens returning from prison or jail. Goodwill, Hope Network, and Grand Rapids Community College will share the models they have developed to address barriers to employment and case work of individuals after they are placed on the job. May 3, 2012: Join The SOURCE (www.grsource.org) and Cascade Engineering as we host a one day conference in Grand Rapids, MI, titled, “Developing a Private, Public, and Non-Profit Collaborative – Exploring Leading Practices: The Cascade Engineering Welfare to Career and SOURCE Models.” Attendees will hear, how these leading practices were developed, with discussion on challenges, successes, as well as national speakers who have used these models to develop a collaborative in their own community.
