Provide those exiting the justice system an opportunity to be work ready and desirable to employers.
To utilize our community resources and engage employers to help employ people who are exiting the justice system.
Our goal is to partner with 30 employers to hire two ex-offenders and then monitor progress over two years.
PRI has three distinct but related phases:
- Institutional phase: Potential employees are learning both soft and specific skills designed to prepare individuals for the workforce prior to release.
- Structured reentry or transitional phase: Once released, partnered service providers continue to work with employees on soft skills. Individuals are placed in job like settings and are slowly integrated back into the community with supervision up to one year.
- Community reintegration phase: Placing trained individuals into the community or local workforce, spending time with family, contributing to society and living life.
